What is snake poo supposed to look like?

OK, here's what is probably a dumb question.
Exactly what is snake poop supposed to look like?
I have a thre emonth old corn snake, had him for a few weeks.
He eats like a little piggy, gets two pinkies a week (would take more),
has already shed once and is milky eyed like he's doing it again.
But his name is about to be Stinky Butt cause his poop stinks!
Basically, it's like liquified mouse... red with a patch of white, about the
size of his head. Then I read somewhere that it should be solid?!
So is there something wrong with my snake, or is it just becuase he's a baby eating pinkies (little piggy!) and there's not enough to have a solid poop?
He's on paper substrate.. am considering sand so he doesn't stink so much...
help?

I included a poop pic of my snake's in a thread posted yesterday, the "a little help please" in it there are the solidified white part which was supposed to be the urine. And the black parts are the poops! It might not be what your looking for but it will probably show you other sample of feces.

Forget the sand. It doesn't eliminate odor but it will increase the likelyhood of an impaction and sucks the moisture out. If you want to use another substrate, aspen shavings are popular.

Red? Are you sure that it is red?

The fecal portion, especially in young snakes eating HAIRLESS rodents , isn't necessarily a solid structure. It can be kind of squashed and flat. Also, some snakes crawl through it and it will appear spread out.

The white portion is urates. Reptiles, just as birds, pass a solid, white waste that equates to urine in mammals.

Thanks for the replies...
after looking at the two pics (thanks dorfer and witch), perhaps my snake just injests more water than other snakes...looks close to those....

Coyote:
Aspen shavings? Hmm. That might not be a bad idea, wouldn't take much to fill the bottom of his 10 gallon, and would be cheaper than the repti sand.
The poop looks red to me..........actually a very dark red/brown , kindof what I'd expect digested liquid mouse to look like. The color doesn't bother me, just how liquidy it is and how much it stinkies! He's on paper substrate, so perhaps the aspen would be the way to go. And the fact that he's not yet eated haired critters is probably affecting it....

Wish the snake books had more hands on pics... like what poop should look like!

Have you had a fecal done to check for internal parasites? The presence of certain intestinal parasites can result in feces that are "off" and more odorous than normal.

Coyote-
Nope, haven't had a check done. There isn't a snake doctor within a normal distance around here that I'd trust that I know of! I'll have to start looking around for one, maybe the zoo (about an hour and a half away) might know of one.....
