I know this is going to be hard to diagnose but please anybody just give this a try. At the pet store I currently work at we have a couple corn snakes in an aquarium. They are on calci sand <----Not my decision nor can I do anything about that. I make sure their temps are at 85 and they have water two hides etc. That's their environment, now for the actual problem...
I first noticed a light brownish/pinkish circle wound on the top of the snows head. I thought it was a burn as it was getting browner and bigger. I started treated it with polysporn, it seemed to be getting deeper but it now looks like its starting to crust over with brown (scab?) so I think the polysporn is working. But now the motley amel is developing a small wound in the exact same spot on his head, it's small but I'm wondering what this could be?? Scale rot, or scrapes? Any ideas at all are greatly appreciated!! Is scale rot contagious?
Thanks in advance!
