I got her on a breeder loan. I was told she is a lav het bloodred. But with the pastel color, no belly pattern and the dark lines around the saddles, I have to wonder. To me, she looks more like a ghost. She is 2 years old, 34" long. So, her color is about all out now.
What do you all think? She came from a very large and well known breeder.

Thanks, Dan

Going off the pics I would deffinitely say Diffused Lav, like said above, ghosts have more melanin (black). Very nice animal!

Did it come out of the Rich Hume Mystery Lines? It looks familiar to me..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

It may be my eyes, but I see belly checks (more noticeable in the second photo). Perhaps a better photo of the belly is in order. The color reminds me of a lavender caramel or lavender amber.

She is not

From The humes line. and after I looked, there is very pale checks on her belly. She is a wigglewart and hard to hold when you turn her upside down..lol.. but they are so pale, they are very hard to see. And I should take a pic next to my lav het blood male too. ok, more pics later.

Hey Dan, Is that snake from who I think it is? gotta be, never saw that one there? Looks like a Lavender diffused? ( although I don't think he works with that gene?)

Saw you're still here so I wanted to let you know I just pulled mine on Monday so I could use that boy in a week or so, if that's still cool.

naw, big name in corns..lol

Yeah, still cool to use him. Let me know when she sheds and I'll get him to you. he just shed yesterday.

NEW PICS!!!

one is of her belly, and one shows both the female and my male lav het bloodred. Don't know if these make a difference, but maybe who knows.. yeppers.. I am just asking if I am totally off the mark. So far.. looks like I am...

She has the "het diffuse" split belly checks, but the amount of yellow hue to her overall color still makes me feel she's homozygous caramel.

ambers don't look like that. They're nice and brightly yellow/orange. Same with diffused ambers. Crimson is the term for a hypo miami-phase corn snake. It does not affect the pattern.

If she came from a 'large and well-known breeder', surely they'd know what she is and tell you?
