What kind of feeding bin?

I just use a large plastic container with several air holes in the lid. I know that some snakes like to be hidden (under a dark towel or what have you) while they eat, and do not like to be disturbed.

I think you can pretty much use whatever kind of bin you want, so long as it is clean (and free of substrate), there are air holes, and your snake cannot get out.

Hope that helps!

For babies that might get distracted or feel threatened in a large enclosure, I like to use a deli cup or a Ziploc sandwich container with holes. For my older snakes, the size doesn't matter as much.

I still put mine in one of those small plastic critter keepers, but it is now time to move on to a 5.5Gal tank I have sitting around.

That is, her feeding response has become too intense for the Critter Keeper, practically leaping out, snagging the F/T and then grappling it to the floor.

I don't like feeding my snakes where they live as I want them to know my hands don't mean food, or, having substrate cling to the F/T.

As far as "aloneness" when eating, it just happens to be a dimly lit room. But like I said - she is a chow-hound, I could feed her with all the lights on (and did - it never mattered). My ball python friend is insanely jealous of how well she eats.
