I was wondering what kind of waste does snakes put out? Do they urinate (watery or soggy)? What about stools? Are they dry or moist? Where does the waste come out from? Also, do they smell REALLLY bad?
 
Hmm... for my corns... their poop is usually a little liquidy... it looks like raw eggs in a way... maybe not... but yes it does stink really bad... but even since ive use aspen it doesnt seem to smell as bad... aaaa and the where does the waste come out from... I would guess... this is just a guess of course... probably the butt hole... BUT I COULD BE WRONG...:)
 
yes I agree with corny. Mine poops a kind of watery darkish with sometimes lighter colors like white in it. It's REALLY DISGUSTING! AND IT SMELLS! I know because he's done it on me quite a few times. By now i've learned to recognize the signs and I grab his tail and put a few paper towels underneath when he starts.
I guess it's justa combination of stools and urine all at once. It sure smells bad! And it stains on clothes. ESPECIALLY MY FAVORITE WHITE TANK TOP!!!!!!!

oops and I forgot to say that yeah, they poop from the vent. If you look on the belly side of the snake near the tail you will see it. (the vent)
 
Ike's poops look kinda like bird crap. You know, black and white...
Anyway, they dont urinate, they pass out all excrement at the same time hence watery poos!
 
Hey since somebody else brought it up...
How much does the average adult corn snake let loose with at one time?
Smaller than an elephant?
Bigger than a breadbox?;)
 
A teaspoon??? for an adult?!? My goodness. Mine is just a juvie and it's more like a tablespoon for him. The adult corns I come in contact with usually have a heck of a lot more than a teaspoon too. Maybe like 2 or 2 tablespoons. it all depends though cuz sometimes the poop is just some "leftover" from the main one.

mine poops out a browny black solid stuff that dosen't smell and he also gets rid of this white powder? and urinates a clear coulor that clumps togther in a balll on his bedding
 
an average corn crap is .83 ounces as read from "BIG HANK'S EVERYTHING YOU NEVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT CORNSNAKES" THIS IS OF COURSE FOR A 2-YEAR-OLD ANERY CORN HET FOR GHOST. FOR A MIAMI OR A NORMAL THIS WILL VARY PLUS OR MINUS .09 OUNCES.... :) ----JIM

my corn has never pooped on me, and 1 out of 2 times i hold my milk snake she does, my opossum lunges at my eyes with her claws, and my pet vulture pukes on me every time i get close to her!

i got it bad ;)
 
LOL, it's that way with any pet. Dog owners discuss what sort of business their dogs did on their walks... I sometimes ask my boyfriend whether our iguana has gone yet today... But I've never yet had reason to discuss my snake's poop. :)
