What Pipping / Hatching Date to use

Toddsnake

Serious Corn Addiction!
I have my first clutch hatching this year! It is a Double Clutch from my Okeetee X Okeetee pairing. The first clutch laid were all slugs but the second clutch of 10 eggs laid July 2 started pipping September 1. My question is what do you guys usually call the hatch date for your records on each snake. The day the clutch started pipping..... or the day each of them emerged from the egg? Do you have siblings from the same clutch that actually have different hatch dates by a day-or-two?
So far mine pipped on Saturday....4 were out of their eggs Sunday and moved to their new homes.....and still waiting until tonight to check the rest of them.

Thanks for any info!!!!!

I use the date each one came fully out of the egg.

I've had siblings hatch up to a fortnight apart.

I use the date they came out of the egg also. Using one date for all will be within 48 hours or so, which is "close enough," I guess, but I just like to be accurate.

I used individual dates, that they each emerged, so some have the same hatch date, some are spread out over a couple days. I can see where breeders who have several clutches would use one date for all, & maybe pick the date that the last one emerged as the hatch date for all.

Thanks for your input! I will go with the day they left their egg.

Thanks again!

Todd
