I can either:
A) Attach Light to my aquarium and use that as a viv

or

B) Sell my aquarium, and use money + a bit more to buy a viv and stuff

What do you think people?

I feel more inclined to do the latter because it would be a lot easier to get the snake out of sliding doors, and also it would wreck the tank screwing a light to the top. I think i should sell the tank and buy one but i thought i would see what you guys think

Depends what snake it is for! But if you want a corn, they don't actually require any extra light.

I am using a converted aquarium for a snake, but I admit it is a bit of a pain, so from my own experiences I would say go for the real thing and buy a vivarium. At least you know it's suited for the animal.
 
indeed i do want a corn

i think im going to do that. Will be a lot easier when getting the snake out, putting water bowl in etc. Also there is holes in the back where the wires go so the snake will get out.

Okay.. but why do you need a light, or wires coming out? There shouldn't be any wires inside.
 
its an old fish tank. well, about 10 months old, so theres holes where the cables for lights n pump n that come out
 
You need a screen lid, not an aquarium lid, or the snake will escape. And clips for the lid as well, becuase they can push up on the lid. They're pretty cheap, but buy what you like. Don't bother with vertical vivariums as corns need floor space. Let us know what you decide. :cheers:
