If the question were, "You have an oketee female, and I'll let you have either a miami or an amel to mate it with, which would you chose?" then I'd chose the amel....
Your F1 (first generation) offspring would be het amel, and many or all of them might meet the "okeetee standard". 2-3 years later breed the best 1 or 2 males back to the orginial mom, and you just made your own line of "reverse okeetee".
But of course, okeetee to miami would produce an interesting variety in background coloration, I'd guess, but what's the point if you are selling most or all of them before they mature? Corn colors change too much as they mature to make that cross as rewarding for many people, I'd think.
