Ok we originally thought that we had a pair of Golddust Motts, and that wasnt right, then some one sugested that They are in fact Ultra Caramel motts, when I first saw the clutch I said ok, maybe they are Ultra caramel Motts, because of the 50/50 ratio that came out of the Ians Calc.... Here is my Questin I think I see three diff kinds here.....Help me, tell me if you see it too...... My final thought is that Maybe one of our Pair is a Goldie, and the other Ultra Carmel mot

And this one shows the two colors that almost match , but one is darker then the other, the overall clutch seems like it is split in thirds

Tnks for all your help

The first photo shows one hatching that isn't homozygous caramel so something is definitely amiss. If I were to guess what the 3 morphs you have shown are: ultra, ultra caramel and ultramel caramel (golddust). Parents would be ultra het caramel X ultramel caramel OR ultramel het caramel X ultra caramel (with you just not getting the ultramel in the mix). Also, I'm not seeing any motley pattern in the hatchlings. Have you posted pics of the parents and other hatchlings somewhere?

That first pic looks like an ultramel and an ultra caramel, neither one a motley. What were the parents?

My bad

I left out a whole slew of info,

Ok when I first started the thread i meant to get across that the Male from the ultra caramel pair , was used on a Extremely strange Reverse Okee, she has a yellow "glow" to her, it was explained to me that she might be Het Caramel, and this sheen is a marker for the trait. Those two yielded these Beauts, and the father is motley so the offspring are het Mott, sry for the confusion, and thanks for all the help.

well, that's really weird. If your female of this clutch is an amel then all the babies must be either ultramel or golddust. But I do see a definite color difference in them. Do you have any pictures of the female?

OK. I'm going to say it's just normal variation within the morph and will also hazard a guess that the darker golddust is a female. Here are the post-shed photos of the 3 golddust siblings I hatched out in '08. The darker one is the female.
