Wha'ts the difference

I was reading some breeding lists from here, and I saw some different miami variations. The ones that I'm asking about, were "Miami", and "Top Shef Miami". What's the difference between them?

I believe top shelf miami's are selectively bred miami's for a desired color, but i could be horribly wrong so don't take my word for it :)

Thanks :) anyone know where I could see some pictures to compare the difference? I have a miami myself, so I was I was naturally curious. I think she's super pretty either way.

I don't think a "Top Shelf" Miami has been developed enough to be its own line bred cultivar.

"Top Shelf" is simply what Carol Huddleston labels her Miamis that look particularly promising at birth.

Carol has developed an extremely clean almost Okeetee like look to her Miamis. I would say that they are consistent enough and nice enough to be considered as a type of line bred Miami (think of Reverse Okeetees, Sunglows, ect.. all Amels blah blah), but I would refer to them as Huddleston Miamis. Top shelf just refers to Miamis within Carol's stock. If you buy a "Top Shelf" Mami from Carol, vs a regular Miami from Carol, I think it just is more of a guarantee that the animal will have a very clean silver background and bright red or orange saddles with thick borders.

I hope that wasn't too confusing!

If other Breeders refer to some of their Miamis as "Top Shelf" I haven't seen it.

This is Carol's picture, not mine!!

Thanks. And a very pretty snake. Mines, not quite as well defined as that, but after a shed, she is very pretty. This is mine here, I doubt she's "top shelf" (would have been an accidental/unknown purchase if she was) but she's still beautiful :)

sorry for the blurriness. I haven't been able to figure out the best way to get a good picture of her yet.

I haven't heard others refer to their Miamis as Top Shelf but ... I have seen/heard a "few" other people/breeders refer to a certain snake/morph as being "Top Shelf" (indicating that the snake is, or snakes are, "best of the the best").

Thanks everyone. I got curious being a miami owner myself. When I saw the color pattern I fell in love and new this was the one for me. When I saw the top shelf label, it made me curious instantly. Top shelf or not, I still think she's gorgeous. :)
