i just got my baby corn on wednesday, and i was wondering how soon i should start feeding her so that she wont through it back up?

and she is about 2 months old, should i feed her small pinkies? or a little bigger?

thanks.

Give the snake a week before feeding. Remember that everything is still new and the little one needs a chance to adjust. The meal size depends on the individual snake.

I would never recommend feeding live rodents to captive reptiles. Frozen mice just need to be thawed until it is room temperature then offered to the snake. Was the person you got your snake from feeding f/t (frozen/thawed)?

Try the search function to find a ton of information on both feeder size and frozen or live.

If your snake is already eating f/t, I certainly recommend continuing the practice. :)

Feeding live would be ok as long as you are only feeding live pinks and fuzzies...IMHO. This is because mice of this size can't fight or bite. However, when you start feeding Hoppers and larger, they now have teeth, and eyes are open. This is when the mouse can do a lot of damage to the snake.

As for getting F/T mice, your local pet store should carry them. If they don't, you can freeze your own pinks and fuzzies after you buy them live. The hoppers and adults you should kill before freezing. This can be done a number of ways...use the search function to find tons of threads about it...After you have killed them, you can stick them in the freezer, or feed them right away.
