when to move to a bigger enclosure

Right now my cornsnake is in a Sterlite container. The container is 16 1/8" L x 11 1/4" W x 10 7/8" H. He's been housed in this container since I got him in early August. He eats each time he is given a pinky mouse. I buy frozen pinkies at PetSense. There are 6 in the box. It used to be $12; but, the last time I got them, the price had gone up to $15. I have looked online for other sources; but, the shipping to Washington is very high.

Anyway, I have a 20L tank that I can move my snake to; but, how do I know when it's time to move him?
 
You can move him whenever. If he's a consistently good eater, he shouldn't be too disturbed by a move, although definitely let him settle in to his new enclosure for a few days before feeding him again. As long as the enclosure is secure and has lots of little hides and clutter, he will appreciate having more room.
