When to move?

spud

Need more Corns
I have a 3ftx1.5ftx1.5ft viv ready for my corn but am unsure as to when i should move her from the viv she is in now. She is over 2ft in length and is roughly 55g. The viv she is currently in is an exo terra plastic terranium, and she is starting to get a bit large for it as she is a very active snake. So whats do you all think i should do. I don't want to put her in and make her stress out.

Cheers Spud

:) I did the same as you want to do! this is funny!
My snake was 56g and was in a plastic exo terra plastic terrarium! I move her 2 day ago.

Lol, I am thinking of moving her after christmas etc has all finished, as i still need a few plants, and a new hide. By then she will have had at least 2 feeds so will be bigger. Have you left your snake alone for the past 2 days and have you noticed any difference in its behaviour?

A plastic exo terra plastic terrarium? As opposed to a plastic exo terra glass terrarium?:dancer:

Sorry, couldn't help myself...

Lol of course!

@spud: Yes, I left her alone for 2 days, no problems!I feed her yesterday and she eat just fine.

You should be fine to move your snake when the viv is ready for it. If the new viv looks too big, just put more hides in (they could just be containors with entrances cut in the side.) or more cover (like plants etc).
Keep an eye, but really it sounds fine.
...but then what do you put in the now empty smaller viv, hummm? lol

That sounds fine moving it. My amel is only about 18 in. and 13g in a 30 gallon & she does fine. She hides all day I see her come out around 7 and I've seen her find her water dish with no problems. As long as the water is easily accessible and it has plenty of hides you should be fine.
