when to up feeding?

I just got my first corn. He is a normal okeetee. Don't know his exact age but he is not very old. He is eating three pinkies a week. How do you know when to feed him more or larger mice.
 
I'd say you're past due. If it's already pounding 3 pinks a week you could easily go to fuzzies. I'd start with one and wait a few days to try another.
 
I agree. Once a snake can take two of one size at a feeding for a couple of times, I take that as a sign to move up to the next size.

I also have a snake taking three pinks a week. Is it ok to let it be like this for a while because I'm trying to run out my supply before ordering some fuzzies?
 
Here's the rule for feeding that I've been using. Feed one or two rodents of an appropriate size once or twice a week. Appropriate size is 25% larger in girth than the largest part of the snake. I would say this is the general guide line that most breeders use. As for Spitfire's question about using up some pinkies, that's not a problem unless you've got a couple hundred left. Then I would buy some more snakes lol.

LOL i thats a really good reason to buy more corns :D

but as stated above when your snake can eat 2 of one size you can upgrade
