Where to order mice...

pgr8dnlvr

An obsolete oldie...
Hi all, I've been dealing with Big Cheese for almost three years and have been overtly happy with their quality of product, and fine with the prices. What really "stinks" with them though I found, was service. They were consistently doing things like shorting my orders even weeks in a row, disregarding requests not to call before 9:00 am PST, as well as other silly mistakes that should not have been made.

Dont' get me wrong, I would recommend them to other people, but with a grain of salt...

I've had enough of it and decided to go with Rodent Pro. this time. I am VERY happy with Rodent pro prices, however their quality of goods and packaging is much, much lower... Can anyone give me their vote of confidence in the end quality of their mice? Do you find faster growth rates on other companies mice? Are "lab surplus" mice really all that bad?

I recently called mouse factory as well. I know their quality of goods is VERY high. Their prices though are almost 1&1/2 times what Rodent pro is. So in my monthly order usually being around $1000 I'd be looking at $1500 instead... I'm not totally decided on it, I know you have to pay for quality, but is their ANYONE else I should be looking into?

Please offer any help you might be able to lend...

Thanks,
Rebecca

ps- nope, I would pay almost ANY price not to breed my own! :) lol!

When I have bought frozen en masse I have bought it from Mice Direct out of Georgia. www.micedirect.com I think. The quality of their mice is good and the snakes did well. The only I would not order from them again would be pinkies. I just prefer to raise my own. That's me.
Hope this helps
Scott

MouseFactory.com

Mousefactory.com seems to be decent as well, just not sure how far they will ship.

I am using Rodent Pro. I like them although unless you buy large orders they tend to rip you off with packaging. So vary between themousefactory and rodent pro. Small orders are better with the mouse factory. However tmf doesn't guarantee frozen if it takes more then 2 days. With rodent pro ground shipping may take a few days but my mice have always been frozen and vary rarely freezer burnt.

I have used Rodent Pro and Big Cheese. I used rodent pro because of their prices. They were cheapest. I now use Big Cheese because I love their packaging. If you compair prices between the two, Big Cheese is cheaper by a penny for most mice. They are also $.10 cheaper for weaned rats. So cheaper prices and far superior packaging has got me sold. Don't get me wrong if Rodent Pro has one of their HOT DEALS on something I need I'll go with them in a heart beat. Cash is king, but packaging is a close second. Everything else I can roll with.
