Which end of the pinky?

I thought all snakes eat their prey head first...our little one always eats tail first, is that normal?

Normal... no. But not really an issue. Just a little harder to get down. I have adults do it from time to time, with rat legs trapped in their jaws for ten plus minutes! Most will search out the head and start there. You get the occasional "Forrest Gump" though!

Legoless gets in a hurry and chows down on either end...seems not to prefer one over the other. I'd say we swap ends every other prey item!

I hold my mice with tongs, so I always face the head nearest to them.... But when Torque was smaller, and I'd just set a thawed pinky in there, he did it both ways. He was just too hungry to care. :)

Treasure eats them either way too... USUALLY she tries to go belly first hehe.. thats never worked for her =P She picks up the mice and slithers around with the belly in her mouth, then eventually moves to an end after a few tries belly first... silly girl hehe

HaHa that's funny, I have a few that do that too.
Grab it in the midsection only to realize it's not working. It's a 50/50 shot from there, sometimes they move toward the head, sometimes the butt.

My corns will usually take it from the head, the only reason i like them to take it from the head is because i worry about the mice's claws scratching the snake as it goes down!
