While out of town...

I'm leaving town for a vacation on Monday. I wanted to go ahead and feed my baby corn tonight so I can make sure he eats okay, but I'll be out of town til NEXT Sunday, and I'm afraid feeding him tonight might be too early. That would mean he'd have to go 7 days without eating. I just want to make sure he eats okay because I want him to be alive when I come back home.

Any advice? Should I feed him now and watch, or wait until Monday before I leave to feed him?

Cornsnakes can go weeks to months without eating, so you should not be worried about a 7-10 day interval of not feeding him. However, I would feed him tonight. Just for the reason in case he regurges, it would probably happen before Monday. Otherwise if you fed him on Monday, he could regurge while you were gone and you could have a smelly mess by the time you got back.

I think I will do that then! Thanks!

(He's been fed twice and done fine, but I just want to make sure that he'll be okay while I'm gone.)

:)
