Who's going to Anahiem?

Sat or Sun? I am still contemplating on which day.. Eithier way I have 2hrs each way worth of driving..

Regards...

AWW, I had a blast last year, but I am staying home this time. Meet y'all there in 2006! LOL

Way cool. I am thinking it will be Saturday I am going, but dang, I bet there are many steals of a deal to be had on Sunday...

Regards...

Both days for me!! See you there Shane....and I ended up getting that Aztec from Stephen...you knew I would didn't you :)

Me me me!!!! It's my first Herp show too! *excited*

A bit frustrated, because I REALLY want to get anouther little friend there....but had to assure my boyfriend that I wouldn't try to talk him into anouther pet if we went (I currently though, only have ONE little corn...and it took me two months to convince him of that!!! It's not that he doesn't like animals...he just doesn't want alot of them in the house...and knows me too well...first it'll be one...then two...then...there's no stopping me! Muah ha ha ha!). But I sure would LOVE a blood corn...or a snow...or a luecistic rat snake *melts* (even though that's not a corn at all!).

We shall see. *schemes*

I am going to try to get there for when the doors open tommorow morning.. I will be dragging my Wife along and my two daughters.. Means I have to get my butt out of bed around 5 or 5:30 to drive down the hill to get there for around 9am.. I am almost tempted to get them HELLO name tag's to ID me as a one of the peep's that chatters here on the board.. Beats me though if any of you would want to meet up in person or not... Not really looking for any more snakes as of yet, considering I got 6 of them from Trevor last week ( the Rootbeer's he had up on the forum here... ) , more likely to look for frozen food this time.. I will probably end up hanging around Kathy's booth for most of the time I am there, just look for a 6ft tall dude, very short dark hair and a goatee' with a couple of pretty little girls around. See you there!

Regards... TandJ

Your b/f doesn't know about the power of the addiction of Corn Snakes does he... You can't just have one.. Oh wait, thats like potatoe chips too isn't it? *ROTFLMAO*

Regards..

I'll be there tomarow. Probably hanging around the Creature Companies table (table #213) though I'm sure I'll be making the rounds of the other tables as well. I'll be the short, fat red head with the big, hairy scary looking guy (I know, that easily describes well over 50% of the people that will be there!). Shoot me an e-mail and I'll give you my cell # if you want to meet up. I won't be there when the doors open though~ I'm planning on staying late!

BTW~ You do know that Kathy posted a week ago that she would not be making it to the show right? Her husband Bill will be there though~ he's a good guy~ you'll enjoy meeting him. But we'll give him a complex if we all show up just looking for Kathy!

I'm going too :)

I'll be there with my two boys in tow as well. But I probably can't make it down until afternoon, got two soccer games to go to first, darn! I'm looking for frozen food too, but on the vendor list, I contacted the one vendor I saw and they said they weren't making it out this year so I am not sure who will be there.

I didn't realize Kathy wasn't going, I'm assuming that means no snakes will be there even at Bill's table?

I certainly know Bill is a great photographer, and I am certain that Kathy would not send him without a few corns to offer.. For the most part I quite enjoy hearing the conversations that go on, which I usually do not par take in, just listien, unless I open my mouth with some off the wall comment or something stupid blurts from my trap... I will be wearing a Big Dog T Shirt, light green in colour.. If I meet up with people that would be cool, but if not, I won't be disappointed eithier ( after all we are going to be there to check out the critters ). If you see this guy coming your way... RUN... *LOL*

Trevor, warned me about you ahead of time to Cheryl, he pretty well said you were a gas..

Alrighty friends, I am going to drag my butt off to bed here, as it is draging now, my field herping was a blow out tonight , I think it was to windy up here in the High Desert.. TTFN .

Regards, TandJ.. ( I would be the T and my Wife would be the J... )

Already been warned? Warned!!! LOL! (My husband says the red hair is an "early warning system for the innocent"! LOL!) He probably told you I was insane! I was a bit frazzled that evening~ had several dozen snakes that needed to be cleaned that night and Chemistry homework due the next day that I didn't understand! (Didn't do well on the homework either!)

Seriously~ Kathy didn't make it to the show last year either~ thats when I met Bill. There were still a LOT of GREAT snakes at their table though (I came home with two from their table!)

~~Also~~I know Irene is after small feeders. Not yet Irene, sorry~ but the balls suddenly took a break on feeding this week and I have a surplus of weanling size rats I just froze off today. If thats the size your after and you don't find them at the show TandJ let me know. I froze off over a 100 of them today!! And Irene~ looks like the balls may be slowing down so I'll probably be able to spare smaller ones again in about a month (or sooner if the balls don't eat good next week I'll freeze off a bunch of pups before they get to weaner size)

See y'all at the show!

Hey, that sounds great Cheryl! Just keep me posted on those. I've got a new pair of butter hatchlings that will need the smaller pinks, but I have yearling that could use the rat pups and my amel can take rats. Boy, I really gotta stock up or something, I hate going to Petco and picking them up but I hate paying shipping charges even more!

I wouldn't say Insane... but frazzled is good :grin01: Like me last night. 30 snakes fed, and 15 moved into new homes. 5 hours later, I thought I was gonna break down the door to get out of this apartment. But my room can actually be walked through now. I shall be at the show tomorrow early. Gotta go to a family reunion later in the day. I'll be the short, hobbit lookin' rocker, that is tryin to forget that he has his wallet with him. I'll probably have a Sonic Youth shirt on. See ya there.

I was definatly frazzled! What a polite way to put it! LOL! Seems to be the way it is most of the time though~ I'm either going 90 mph or not at all~ I don't seem to have an inbetween speed~ you should see me when I'm REALLY busy!

I'm looking forward to seeing you tomarow. Don't be insulted if I look right through you and don't recognise you though. I have no memory for faces or names. I could describe in excruciating detail some of the most inane things like the exact color of the neighbors house when I was 12, or the time my husband made a particularly snide remark (6 years ago)~ right down to the date, time of day, weather that day and the color of his shirt....(This ability drives him NUTS)...........but I can't recall names or faces from one day to another! So if I don't seem to know who you are~ just remind me. It happens ALL the time! (I REALLY hate that feeling when someone who obviously knows you thinks you remember them by thier face, and they wait expectantly for me to GUESS!)

I'll be there. I will be the 6'2" guy with all the kids and the wife that looks pissed. She thinks she stopped me by limiting the cash i am taking (i hope they take credit cards) see you all there. i look mean( so Ive been told) but I'm really a pussy cat. just say hi and i will do the rest.

.....but I can't recall names or faces from one day to another! ... (JM)

That's funny - I am really bad about faces too. Sometimes I can remember what snake a person ordered two years ago (but not as well as I used to), but I can't remember their name when I see them. So I always stick close to Bill at meetings and shows - he is so good at faces, lol!

I sent him with a little over 80 corns. I had packed up much more, but then checked the FedEx cost of shipping that big of a box - $185!!! EACH WAY!!! TOO MUCH!!! So I got a smaller box and just picked out the ones I thought most likely to sell. It is really expensive doing out of town shows, especially when it is too far to drive and you have to buy airline tickets AND ship stuff too.

I sure will miss seeing you all at the show. But if you feel like driving to Tucson in a couple of weeks, I will be giving a talk about corns at the show there, and selling whatever doesn't sell at the Anaheim show. When Bill gets home next week, I leave! Yippee!!
