I've had my corn for about 2 months now, she's feeding fine and has just gone into blue for the first time. It has come to my attention that she spends 90% of her time, buried under the substrate. She has 2 hides, one in the warm side of her tank, and one in the cooler side, but still I'll find her under the lining. Is there a particular reason for this, or is it just something snakes do? I just want to make sure that I'm not doing anything wrong....

Mine was like that for about the first year, and then she grew out of it. She still burrows though as there are tracks everywhere. It all depends on the individual, as some barely do it, and others will always do it. It's what they do in the wild.

I find a burrowing snake a blessing, especially when they burrow against the glass, it makes it really really easy to measure their length.
