Will it cause a mutation?

I was just studying the form on breeding corns an I wondered if it would cause a mutation if you bred a brother and a sister?
 
Not necessarily, but as with humans if you keep breeding individuals together who are closely related, the chances of a mutation are higher because there is more chance that the two individuals will be carrying the same genetic mutation. Personally I don't intend to breed any related corns to each other, as I feel it's healthier to mix the gene pool a bit, and may produce stronger hatchlings. People do breed related corns though.

That's actually the way many breeders produce morphs from het animals. I believe that after a couple of generations it may become an issue, but shouldn't be from F1 or F2 clutches.
