Hey guy's,

I bought my 2 as adults, so never had a hatchling before...
I am hoping to get a hatchling King snake at the show in July :bird:

My question is, would the container that Big's is in be ok to use untill he/she gets bigger ??

It has vents & I was going to put the heat mat underneath, to cover 1/3 or 1/2 of the container..

Paper towel instead of substrate, ( been advised that this should be used for babies) a couple of hides & obviously a water bowel, maybe a few fake plants...

Is there anything else...would this be ok ?

Id say this container is a rough size of 17" in length by about 12" width..
How long before I would need to upsize ?

cheers in advance..

Sounds like you've got it figured out pretty well. It would be big enough to house a king from hatchling size to at least a year old. But you've got to make sure that it's absolutely escape proof. I wouldn't trust locking lids alone. :)
