Won't Eat, Very Active, Breeding season?

Hi folks,

Igneous has been a GREAT eater since we got him. But recently he's been a bit... Odd. He's on a Jumbo mouse (30+ gram) every 10 days, but has refused the last two feedings. Just straight ignores it.

He's also been REALLY active. As in he's running around his tank nearly every time we walk in on him.

I assume this is because it's breeding time and he's looking for some action? Not particularly worried yet, but I'd like to confirm the theory if possible.

Yup, love is in the air! Also, he may be getting ready for a shed, one of mine does this when he sheds, he races around the viv to get the process started.
 
Also, he's VERY well-fed. My biggest males get a medium or large (22-28, very rarely 30) mouse every three weeks. These are grown up snakes, in the 500-700 gram range. They all gain weight on that schedule.
 
Yeah. That's actually a reduction in feeding from what he was getting. The pet store had been feeding him 1.5 large mice per week for year.

I'm trying to slowly work him towards a leaner schedule and we finally picked up a scale a few weeks ago to monitor his weight.
