Now I know it may not seem like a big deal to you hardened herpetologists out there but my son's little corn Buster, just shed. His first one with us, and a bug relief for Euan.
We put a bowl of damp sphagnum moss in his viv as he went into blue, positioned above his heat mat to keep it all nice and humid. This morning when Euan got up to check on him, he found what is shown in the picture below.
A complete shed nose tip to tail tip, no missing parts, including very tip of his tail and both eyecaps.
I am working away at the moment, but Euan was sooooo excited he sent me a photo from his phone. And yes the more observant of you will notice the rather large poop at the entrance to his hot cave.
The odd thing is given that the accepted knowledge is that corns are less likely to feed when getting ready to shed. Buster scoffed down a rather large fuzzy on Sunday, without any hesitation!
I will post more photos once I get home at the weekend, of his nice new bright colours. Also along with some great shots of a little adventure he had this weekend whilst we were trying to have a photo shoot!
Cheers
