So i got this poor little pinkie and put him and mr snake in a plastic bin. Took about 5 minutes but he ate it, didnt know something that small could make such a loud squeak :( i feel like a bastard, but i like snakes better than mice so thats how i justify it :)

lol. if you dont wat to get that feeling get frozen mices, so that he doesnt get stuck on live mices

everyone is telling me different things, i heard that i should feed it live food because hes too young to realize that frozen is just as good.

did you hear that from the pet store?

The person who told you that information was misinformed...

If you want to purchase bulk feeders, www.rodentpro.com is a good place to start.

Otherwise, PetCo sells single and small groups of feeders in some of their stores.

that's a lie! you defrost the pinkies and it will still eat it, despite the fact it's dead

What about size of pinkies, for a 12-14 inch cornsnake, do i get small or large pinkies? My snake seemed to have absolutly no problem getting a small pinky down in just under a minute

Prey size is more dependent on the girth of the snake than the length (which is irrelevant). Prey items should be 1-1.5 times the size of the snake at it's largest point...

Sounds like you could probably feed 1-2 large pinkies...

Are you feeding live or frozen thawed?
Sounds like you are feeding live...
In that case (my best advice would be to switch to frozen mice, especially while the snake is young) you may want to introduce one...see how he does with that one...if he still appears hungry...feed him another.

With frozen...put them both in the feeding viv and introduce the snake...I just caught the post that said 12-14"...and judging from the girth on my 12-14" snakes, yours should be satisfied with one fuzzy.

Would it be bad to feed him smaller amounts more often, over a couple days? Or just do it once every 5 days?

I feed once every 7 days...I wouldn't feed more often than once every five days...the snake should digest it's food completely, and have a period of time to "recycle" before feeding again.
