my snake sammy laid eggs just over 3 weeks ago since then she has has a meal which she ate no problem at all... since she has taken three meals in which she has eaten and then regurgetated a few hours or a day or so later.... im really worried as I am not sure why this is happening... any suggestions?? please help I want to get this sorted as sooon as possible dont want her to be suffering or anything! :(

You need to follow the regurge protocol which can be found on here. Basically do not feed at all for the next 10 days and then feed a super small meal if possible sprinkled with some nutribac working your up slowly to a full meal after several successful smaller meals. So I would start with one pinkie, then next meal 1 1/2 pinkies, then next meal two pinkies, and so on. If at any point she regurges again start all over. 3 regurges is pretty serious so read the full regurge protocol and follow exactly.

Do exactly what Danielle said, but when you get the Nutribac you can also mix it into the water so your snake drinks it. I am not sure about England but there is a few places across the pond that Nutribac isn't available. There is a something else over there in Reptile shops you can get. I forget the name but someone will follow with the name or you can try the UK member forum to find out faster.

You can get Nutribac from Kathy Love if you can't find it locally. Her website is www.cornutopia.com. It's a probiotic that has been really helpful for snakes with digestive issues.

Multiple regurges are serious. You definitely need to give the snake a 10-day fast. When snakes regurge their digestive tracts need the time to recover and rebuild their digestive juices. Your snake's metabolism works at about 1/5 the rate yours does, so the healing takes a while. While the snake is healing, don't handle her.

If possible, it would be a good idea to get a vet to check the snakes fecal matter for parasites. I wouldn't put the snake through the stress of a vet visit herself at this point, but most vets check stool samples even without an animal there.

Don't despair. This is an adult snake, and if she was in good shape previously she may well pull through.

thank you for ur comments....i didnt want her to get worse so i felt i needed ur advice.
i was reading on here that after she had laid she needed small meals and more often im wondering if they where too often and so her fist regurge was as a result of that and as i have not ;eft herto settle down for the period stated the second regurge was due to this.... she last regurged on saturday so ill leave her till next week and offer her a small meal see what happens... she seems fine in herself going about her buisness as usual... but then again she cant nock on the tank n ay anything can she!

i hope she does pull through she is the first snake i ever bought! love her to pieces!

We hope she pulls through, too. People here really understand the "love her
to pieces" mindset. Chances are good that your snake will be fine as long as you follow regurge protocol. It's really important for you to wait 10 days from the last regurge before offering anything. Not waiting almost certainly result in yet another regurge, and snakes can and do die from multiple regurges.

Have you had a chance to check on locating NutriBac?

yeh ive found some the local pet shop owner has agreed to order some in for us! THANKFULLY!
ill keepa close eye on her and see what happens
thanks for all your advice
ill keep u all posted!
