Would this cage work for a hatchling?

It is a 20 gallon high. Same floor space as 10 gallon but like 3-4 inches taller.
The block hole things can only be pushed out from the outside of the cage so they shoule be safe.

It should work fine, though you're going to be stretching trying to reach the bottom. A hatchling would be good in there for about a year, as long as your temp gradient is okay and you have a hide for the warm and cool side, water, and a secure top.

Edit: Make sure to buy a digital thermometer with a probe. Less than $10 at Wal Mart or PetSmart. Much more accurate than what you have, though the hygrometer should be fairly accurate.

My 03 blizzard is living comfortably in a 20 tall.
If that is the standard 20 it has more floor space than a 10!
It is like a 15 but taller :wavey:
