Yarn anyone?

So, I don't think I've seen a thread about this yet, so here it is!

Does anyone knit or crochet or tat or darn or anything?

I learned to knit and crochet a few months ago, and that's all I'm planning on doing for Christmas gifts this year. It's so so fun!! Ha.
I have developed somewhat of a repetitive stress injury as a result of my love for this hobby however. It's totally worth it. I'll take some pics of some of the stuff I've made later on and post them if anyone's interested...

I wanna see pics and have stories if you've got them!

I don't do it... but I think it sounds like a great hobby- I've always wanted to learn but have always had other interests that I chose over it.

I would love to see pics of your work!

I knit ALL the time - I'll post a few pictures of what I'm working on later, and things I want to try... have you signed up for ravelry.com yet? Its awesome- you have to ask to be invited, but you get your "invitation" within a week and can share all kinds of patterns and ideas with other people!

I'm learning to needle felt, I should have my first piece done tomorrw, I'll post a pic when finished

I used to knit. I was inspired by my Aunt Barb, the ultimate knitter, who always said "If you can read, you can do anything." Soon enough I could knit anything- elaborate sweaters, mittens with that snowflake pattern, socks for my infant daughter, then gorgeous sweaters with animal patterns, little dresses, everything! Knitting is a blast, if you have time! I miss it, and quilting.

For instance, here's a tiny sock that has been sitting in my desk for, apparently, 25 years. I don't know where the mate is.

I crochet, cross stitch (which is now my main thing) and quilt. I just started a afghan to day. I'm doing the afghan stitch to make squares than will put them together. Haven't decided if i'll crochet them together or sew them, but i figure I have a while before I need to worry about that.

i crochet and am currently am working on a blanket.

can't wait till i get it so i can se the finished product and start another.

Wow! I'm glad I got so many responses! I honestly didn't expect to get more than one or two.

Hooray!

So, I'd love to see everyone's pictures. I haven't taken any of my stuff yet, but I will.

I really want to get into the more intricate sorts of things. I'm just doing really basic stuff right now since I only learned over the summer, but I try to learn something new whenever I have time.

Post more pics if you've got them!
