Yay finally snakes get a mention!

Ive always been a fan of British nature programes, but they very rarely mention snakes, but was off ill yesterday and there it was on the Nature of Britain he was actually looking for and found adders! They were lovely things, living at the old missle base Greenham common of all places!
 
They are cute. They only get to about 18", and can be feisty little devils.
Looking for the in the early morning is best before they warm up and wake up.
Or you could try going out and making places for them to bask and hide, to attract them. Lots of rocks ,logs and old tin sheets help. Find a nice sunny spot with dappled shade, oh and you need adders there as well otherwise you won't attract them...LOL
We started a couple of summers ago, if we get any luck we'll post some pics.....Fingers crossed.

Cool,im guessing that the MOD had done something similar as there was a good few pieces of old corrugated iron left around the place. Good to see how Green the MOD is!
