Corn noob...
So all this worrying I've been doing about whether he's coming out or not has been for naught. This morning as I awoke for work at 5am I saw a tail quickly disappear into the substrate.

This evening I lift a hide and he's curled up in there, not buried! I fed him a pinkie and while he was chowing down I put the vine back into his tank and what's tangled up in the vine? A ghostly replica of Sazh!

One question, he's downing the pinkies pretty quickly and they're not leaving a lump in his belly, should I upgrade to two at a time?

Hey there, congrats on the shed. Normally we try to give one meal that makes the snakes tummy bulge some. Sounds like you could move up the prey size, large pinkies or peach fuzzies. If pinkies is all you got I might try giving the snake 1 and a half pinky and see how it goes before giving it two whole ones. just my suggestion

Shedding is so cool. We have witnessed a couple of ours actually doing it and it is amazing. We have one who has been in blue since we have had her, one week, and she was in blue they said for a while...so who knows how long it will take with her. She is soooo big. Right now she has an attitude too.

I would say they turn more of a pinkish hue first, then get that iridescent grayish blue. Mine's in blue right now. I try not to handle her during that week because I'm sure her skin feels bizzarely uncomfortable.

The whole snake doesn't go blue...just the eyes. :)

The snake itself may look sort of milky or dull and may or may not be very noticeable depending on the colour of the snake. Actually, some colours of snakes you can't even see the blue eyes.
