Tonight has made me very happy and proud. Tonight was the first night that I've been up late enough to see my snake out in his cage. I got my hatchling about a week and a half ago and tonight was the first night that I've see him chilling out in his cage. He was spread out on his substrate early and is now sitting on his plant. I also found out today that he was shedding and he successfully took it all off. I'm very happy to see that he's not only eating, but also shedding and finding himself comfortable in his new surroundings. I think he's the best snake ever, but it's probably because he's mine. But it's such a great feeling to see him finally relaxing in his new home. I was kind of worried when I first got him because I didn't see him at all, so I felt that I had to tell you all about his progression. It puts a smile on my face just writing this.

Thats fantastic! they really are lovely creatures, it is so difficult to explain to a non snake enthusiast the pleasure you get when your little mate has a good shed. I am happy for you that it has settled in so quickly

Awesome!! When you had said before that he was mellow even after q-tipping him out of his log, I figured you had a winner!

I tried handling him today and he was extremely mellow. He was clawing all over me. And I just looked over at his cage and he was out cruising around which kinda shocks me 'cause I'm about 5 feet away from him in the same room watching tv. Hehe, it's stretching out trying to find a way out of he cage. Good luck Tiger, it's locked up pretty good!

Aww, thats great! Its so nice to when you feel like they finally feel settled in thier new home. :)
