Yearling refusing to eat - Looking for love?

My snake is about 16 months old and until recently was an excellent eater. He (or she) never refused a meal and always gobbled up the food as soon as I put it in his feeding container. The last 3 shed cycles that he has gone through have caused him to refuse eating for 1-2 weeks before his shed and then after shedding he goes back to eating like normal. I know that refusing to eat before shedding is a common occurance for some corns, so that's not what I'm concerned about.
The thing that is odd this time around is that my snake shed several days ago and when I offered him food today he still showed absolutely no interest. And he's been VERY VERY active since his shed. He's constantly zooming all over his cage like he's on a mission. He is usually more active right after a shed and before feeding, but this is extreme! And apparently he's not hungry.
I read some other posts about male snakes that will go off food this time of the year because they are looking for a mate. Could this be what's going on with my snake? Like I said before, he's 16 months old... is this considered an "adult" and old enough to be looking to mate? If so, I guess I know now that he is a male :crazy02:

Just a side note - He's a pretty decent sized 16 month old... two weeks ago he weighed 383g and is only a couple inches shy of 4 feet long.

It more than likely is a response to the breeding time of the year. Nothing to worry about if he looks to be in good health and has been a steady eater before. Snakes in good health can go several weeks to over a month of not eating. He'll eat when his hormones calm down and he's good and ready :)

My 3 year old adult corn has not eaten for 3 and a half months. He just shed again a few days ago and tonight I tried a smaller than usual FT rat pup and he finally ate. after 3.5 months.

My 05 male is acting exactly as yours is. Hasn't eaten in 3-4 weeks and is very active.
