Where/how did you learn this mind boggling genetics stuff? it just looks so complicated im feeling hopeless
 
It just looks mindboggling. :) If you can flip a quarter and a penny ten times and then understand why you didn't get the same results from each toss, then you can understand genetics.

I took a university genetics course and worked in the university genetics lab breeding mice and ringneck doves. Others have just dug into the texts.

Schaum's Introduction to Genetics, by Elrod and Stansfield, is a good text. I like its problem-solving format. Used paperbound copies are available for less than US$10.

Serpwidgets' Cornsnake Morph Guide is also worth getting.

Remember that nobody starts out running marathons. We learn to walk first. Good luck.
