Your Burmese Python/s. Post Pics

I want another Corn snake
Please post pics of your Burmese Python.

Hey, i really love Burmese pythons. When I'm finished with college and have my own place i'm goin to research and buy a burmese python. It's always been my dream to own one.

I want an Albino male because I read that female adults average about 17-20'.
I wonder how many members on this site have one.

Well, this girl isn't mine (she belongs to my friend Jenner...and I don't think I could handle the care of a beast of this size)...but she sure is pretty...and extremely sweet and personable as well. I just love her!!

And I thought it was cruel and unusual punishment to put "antlers" on small terriers. That's just plain wrong.

jazz

I believe she is somewhere around 16ft and 120 lbs. She's a fatty. Heh. One of the most amazing snakes I've been around though. My friend let her out of her cage...she explored the room, explored me, and then kinda rested her head on my leg and took a nap for awhile. She then explored some more, and then litterally put herself away, crawling back into her cage. She was a completely different animal than what I am used to (my corn and ratsnake...who allthough are sweeties in their own right, are downright skittish when compared with this gentle giant).

Truthfully, ANY burm can reach those lengths if fed right etc etc.

Maybe I would have to see one in real life, cause I think I would be a little nervous have one of those. I havent seen anywhere around here that even sells them. Maybe ill see some at the shows this year!

Also, wheat kind of vivs, do you have them in? Any pictures? Or do you practically have to rent a second house to keep them in?LOL

LOL!

They can live in 10gal from hatchling to 4-5months old....At 6 months....you NEED to put them in the cage they will be in for the rest of their lifes (ie 9long 4wide 1-2tall) cuz its a pain in the ass to keep changeing cages once every 2 months after that.

They are GIANT teddy bears and as long as they are handled often, you should never have to be afraid of them:)

Im probably only afraid becuase I havent seen or handled one in real life. I was afraid of all snakes until I held my friends corn... then I had to get one. I think thats what Im really afraid of, handling a burmese and then having to get one!! :grin01: I just dont have the room for a 9 foot tank anywhere. I dont exactly have room for the tank I have for my corn and Iam already planning on getting an 06...

I would have thought a vertical tank instead of a horizontal one... oh well, still interested in seeing pictures if anyone has them.

Here's a hatchling female Granite/het Albino Granite.I like this morph alot.
Males tend to stay smaller than females, But with any large constrictor more food= bigger size. I've noticed that males between 8 to 12 feet long are the best breeders.

I heard that you could have a 30 gallon for an adult because they don't like really big spaces..that sounds pretty good. Atleast I wouldn't need any 50+ gallon viv

Think about this:

A 30 gallon tank for a snake that is 8-18 feet? You can't be serious?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! dude thats just funny.

Is it just me or does Jenner look only slightly larger than 1.5 the size of the largest part of her snake :grin01:

Hell.. the smallest tank i have is a 30 gal and my Garter snake is in it.. then i have 2 55's for my corns.. a 75 for my beardie a 120 for my boa (atm)
and then a 6x2x2 custum built for my adult boa.. and soon another custum built for the boa thats in a 120 gal.

I'm not saying its true because I would at least get a 55 gal viv. I just don't know why I saw that when i was researching burms..

that picture with the angle wings has got to be my favorite. does your friend make them or buy them? That's awesome lol
