How's your ASPEN
So my wife and I were at the local wally world which is right down the street and we get a call from our daughter who was home and she said dad I think your snake is out and I said "WHATTTTT!" she said its in the kitchen and its orange, Ill be right there, I flew home only to find that Santa Claus came a little early and dropped off a present!

It was a wild corn snake a local variety just sitting in my kitchen hangin out, it came through the pet door we have in the kitchen going out to the lanai, So I grabbed it and it bit me a few times no big deal but it was pissed when I went for it!

Notice the color alot of yellow and orange and very little black! This is a local South west Florida Corn snake they mostly all look like this if caught in the wild around here!

What happened was, your snake thought everyone was out of the house and called its friend over for a party... They never expected to be caught...

You Florida people and all your corn snakes crawling around all over. Flaunting it all in our faces.
There oughtta be a law.

:D ;)

Cool! Even a pet cornsnake might bite if it escapes and gets recaptured, so that isn't really a sign that it is a bitey snake. Very pretty!!

Beautiful snake... guess he/she sensed a snake lover and came to visit. lol

Well, he/she doesn't know how lucky he/she is.

Wow, very pretty snake. Did you end up keeping it or releasing it?

I wish I could keep it but I simply just dont have the room, so I am going to feed him/her and give it a few days to digest then let it go! that should give it a good start!

There is a cold front coming Wed. here so I want to wait till that blows over, right now I have it in a rubbermaid on a heating pad.

You know, if you feed a stray, it will keep coming back! Maybe it will end up being an "outdoor" snake.
