Can you feed goldfish/feeder fish to rodents? Would this be healthy for them?

I googled it and didn't find anything, so I figured I'd bring it here. Fish are pretty healthy for lots of animals, so I figured I'd ask.
(Feeding would be weird, I would assume some sort of very shallow bowl in their tank so they could just grab them out of the water).

If anyone's ever heard anything about this, let me know!
Thanks!

rodents wont catch fish.
Maybe crickets and grasshoppers.
fish meal is an ingredient in some cat foods, and mice will eat that.

Lab mice are technically omnivores.
Some wild species are insectivorous, but lab mice rely on grains, for the most part.
They love dog food, but I feed cat food only once in a blue moon, when I'm in a pinch. It's probably far too rich and has too much protein to use it too often.
I supplement regularly with greens - my mice love wild dandelions, lettuce, etc.

Occasionally, I will divide up a can of sardines between the rat and mouse colonies.. They seem to rather enjoy the snack..

Mice may not catch fish, but RATS are very skilled fishermen. I lost three goldfish to my rat Ferd when I was a teenager. It wasn't until I caught Ferd poised on top of the tank, hanging by his back legs, that I found out where they were going. I read up and found that many types of rodents eat fish and rats are known to catch them pretty frequently if given the opportunity.

Wow, nwcorns, that is very interesting. I'd like to see that in action. I had no idea
