Zigzag

Hi all.. I am wondering if I breed a zigzag to another will I breed same or is the zigzag morph a fluke??

I had a little amel male hatch couple weeks ago with a complete zigzag from head to tail.. I just bought a snow hatchling female with an even better complete zigzag..nice and broad.. I do plan on breeding the two in a few years, but what are the odds of producing the zigzag pattern?? The one I hatched was such a fluke to begin with, I don't want to get too much hopes up.. but then again, I like to dream of what might come to be.

Any thoughts???

Billie

The zigzag isn't really a true 'morph' as in a specific gene causing it, but if you select zigzags and breed them you do have a good chance to get more zigzags... Selective breeding. Would you happen to have a pic of yours?
