I like that setup ... I have been thinking for a while now of getting a hermit crab ... lol dont really know why i want one but i just do !!!

I knew nothing about them before we got them, and must say that until I found the website www.thecrabbagepatch.com I was doing everything wrong. We originally went to get a new fish after ours died and when my son saw the crabs he couldn't resist. They're actually quite fun to watch on the many nights insomnia takes over my body (they're nocturnal). They are always rearranging their extra shells in their tank, climbing through the trees, digging tunnels in the sand, and wrestling with eachother. When they were in the wrong setup they stunk and I'd have to clean their gravel daily to keep the smell down, but now that they have the right environment they don't smell at all, no more walking into the house and thinking it was the seafood section of the grocery store =)

I love hermit crabs!! Very nice setup! I had two for the longest time... then I left them with a now ex boyfriend for a week to take care of them and his dog ate them. I was so upset!
Good job on the tank!
