2 corns together

I don't recommend doing it, it's very stressful on both snakes. They may seem like they enjoy each other's company if you see them curled up together all the time, but it's generally one snake "dominating" the other, trying to push it out. Imagine the stress of having someone else trying to smother you out of a place that you can't escape, competing for room, or trying to "rape" you constantly during breeding season.

You can keep arguing about it, but the answers you get from the folk on this forum are going to give you the same answers. I'm assuming you want to house them together to save money on enclosures/heating/accessories. If you don't care about the welfare of your snakes, do what you want and save yourself a little cash at the cost of the health of the animals that totally depend on you for everything. If you do, spend a little more money to make sure they live long, healthy lives.

Just for starters before I even mention my thoughts on co'habbing, I saw in another thread you posted "Snake Out of Shape?" that this female you own is only 100 grams and you're still feeding it fuzzies. There is no way your snake will even be of breeding size for the 2011 breeding season. Since breeding starts in Feb.-Mar., the mere notion that you would even consider co-habbing this female so they would breed next season really shows that you have done little research on the subject of breeding. Forget the risks of co-habbing, you put greater risk on breeding a WAY UNDER SIZED female. Oh, an as for co-habbing, 150 gal. tank is too small to consider co-habbing in my opinion. If you aren't prepared to provide two seperate habitats for two snakes, don't own two snakes.

Like Wade said, the only reason for you to bring this up time and again is the hope that someone somewhere will eventually say "Yes! You can put them together, they will enjoy it!" and I'm afraid that's just not going to happen here.

AND Sterilite tubs are cheap. UTHs not so much so, but it would be pretty easy to use 1 lamp dimmer to control 2 identical UTHs on 2 enclosures sitting next to one another. I can even think of ways to use 1 big UTH to heat 2 enclosures safely. Cornsnakes don't care if they have fancy accessories, so you can go with cheap hides & climbing stuff for the 2nd enclosure until you can afford nice. I have empty plastic coffee can hides & they work well & cost nothing. Lots of people use cut up paper towel or TP rolls as hides. Cheap artificial flowers are $1-2 at Walmart & make nice foliage & if the snake poops on them, throw them out and get new! It doesn't have to cost a lot to set up a cornsnake in a good healthy environment. I have expanded from 1 corn to what's in my signature since last fall, and everybody has nice housing that they don't share and the only significant expense is heat mats. Everything else is Walmart and cheap as can be. So do the right thing, buy a Sterilite tub at Walmart and go from there.
