Albino Northern Mojave

This is one of only 6 albino Northern Mojaves in the world. The original albino female was caught as a sub-adult near Ridgecrest, CA in 2001. This is one of 5 albino F2 offspring born in captivity.

Evidently, the Caramel + Black is brand new. Doesn't even have a name yet, and it's still very difficult to get a hold of.

The black, caramel & caramel + black morphs are really, really amazing! And as usual, your photography is even better than the snakes.

Is it my imagination, or do Crotalus genus snakes all look grumpy?
 
WOW- The Caramel Melanistic is awesome- those are my two FAVORITE atrox genes. I have a pair of Melanistic atrox from Shane Mader that are het for a bunch of different things...I hope a caramel melanistic pops out.

I'm dropping off my patternless atrox to a friend here in Texas that just purchased an albino scute...didn't realize they were THAT rare... awesome photography & beautiful animals...thanks for sharing...

Thats not to terrible far from me.. Ridgecrest that is.. I am sure the personality is as charming as they usually are.. *lol* I rarely find a Northern Mojave that is not in a cranky mood when its spotted.. Dangerous little wankers to boot..

Actually, the atrox seemed more jumpy than the scuts. The Mojaves just wanted to eat. The atrox buzzed, and came towards me. The normal even struck the cage at the back of head at one point.

Needless to say, I was in awe. I don't think I'm ready for any of these animals to be in a collection of mine. But one day...
 
Wow, those are beautiful! A friend of mine has upwards of 20 crots, very interesting snakes! I find their rattling very pleasant :) But then I also found the experience of getting an MRI therapeutic.
 
Those are nice....I really need to get back into the morph rattlers....used to do the albino atrox but sold all of them. I love those patternless and melanistic! Nice albinos there Chris.
