Egg bound?? Time to aspirate??

I had read many posts of people diving in post 48 hours, without stating potential progress. Seems many panic.

i have a female that is taking her sweet time... popping out a few slugs every day or so. Second female i've had do this. I'm not worried because they dont seem stuck and she doesn't seem stressed

No one else do the gentle squeeze method?

The only egg bound females I have lost have been ones I waited for "nature to take it's course" on. At 48 hours, I start palpating them toward the vent, if not lube the cloaca and just force them out. As for the last "slugs" they seem to "smother" if kept inside too long. I won't argue with anyone on it here, it's about as productive as arguing gun control or hybrids. But my track record of leaving them alone is not good.

that's what I did last week, although I did it on day 3

She laid the last three on her own. I think that makes 20 total. I need to go back and count. Most were slugs but I think I got 6 or 7 good ones and a few questionable ones.

Is bruising/swelling normal? She seems to have some fluid built up around her vent now.

No. Not after a normal, easy egg-laying experience, anyway -but I've seen a couple of girls get skinny and have a fluid build up. If the eggs are all out she should be fine, congrats! This often ends worse.

My girl finished today. 24 total over a period of nearly 7 days. I only assisted with the last with a slight massage. Dining on a well deserved victory mouse now.

The swelling has gone down and she ate two rat pinkies over the last two days. She is resting and has been drinking well- we are going to go to the vet and do a check up though tomorrow because she is still a little bruised.
