Weird clear substance?

I fed my corn last Wednesday after he regurged about 2 weeks prior (I had to wait longer because he had recently shed too), but he seemed to keep this one down and I found poop by his water bowl several days later. However, this morning I found a weird, clear substance in the tank - and I'm not sure what it is or what to make of it, because it doesn't look like any kind of vomit I'm used to or anything... The link is here: http://i.imgur.com/RRDkTJ7.jpg

I would post pictures directly but I'm on mobile and it crashes every time I try, any input would be greatly appreciated!!

With Imgur, you can add a lowercase l just before the extension (.jpg in this instance) to make it a large thumbnail that's the perfect size for most forums:

That is unusual...if it's mucus, it could possibly be a sign of RI and might warrant a vet visit. I'd scoop it out with a paper towel or something and let it dry...if it turns powdery, it could just be an odd poop (mostly urates). Any change in his behavior? Gasping or gaping, wheezing, mucus around the mouth or nose?

I don't know what that is. I don't think urates. What did it smell like? Snake poo or rotting corpse? They can also poop out mucus if their digestive tract is pretty empty.

Also, Tapatalk makes it super easy to post photos.

I haven't noticed anything like that, but the substance doesn't look or feel like a urate to me - it's kind of slimey and I can't really describe what it smells like. Is there a chance it could be regurged water? Also - thanks for the imgur tip!!

I've seen that before........ Just can't focus in on when and why.

It was definitely in a snake tub. I want to say I saw it after copulation of a corn pairing.
Your snake is an adult male right?

I've seen male Tegu's ejaculate that were kept solo but never witnessed a snake doing it.

 It might come to me later............

Snake semen is yellow, fairly opaque, and has a distinctive odor to it. The "honeymoon" smell, we call it. Thin enough usually that it would leave a puddle, not a glob.

Male snakes can also pop out sperm plugs, usually in the spring, usually as a prelude to actually everting their hemipenes because some scent the handler has on their hands puts him in the mood. Sperm plugs look like small opaque white cylindrical corks or plugs. Less than a quarter inch in length.

Yes :)

I've seen a lot of snake and lizard sperm over the years and popped out numerous sperm plugs to know what they look like.
BUT I keep remembering back that it was in a tub that I had a pair of corns in that had mated. :)

If that came from a human, I'd think respiratory. It's hard to believe if a snake coughed up something like that, though, it wouldn't be having respiratory symptoms.

I have heard about instances of regurged water, but I'm never seen it myself, and imagine it would be more like water. Because it happens almost immediately.

If you get a mystery deposit like that, a vet can throw it under a microscope and see if there is anything identifiable. Or culturable. I did that with a mystery poo once. There was nothing- no cells or organisms. Just mucus.
