08 breeding plans?

Well I thought it might be nice to start a thread where everyone can post on their plans for 08.
My corns have been in brumation for about month, I've been putting some thought into what is going to go with what lately.
I have nothing really earth-shaking as far as plans, I still have to prove out one of my anery motley het hypo females as het stripe so she will be going with my ghost stripe male. My other anery mot het hypo girl I will put with a ghost mot male, I have already proven her to be het stripe and I think they will make pretty pastel ghosts. My ghost motley het stripe female. is going to hopefully be part of a cooperative breeding project with Jessicat who has a very nice snow male that might be a cubed or a motley. Medusa, my hypo het anery female, is going to be taking a well earned break. I got her a few years ago from Serpenco, and she has faithfully produced nice clutches for me 3 years now, last season had 29 eggs total (and 27 babies that hatched and thrived). She deserves it. I have a pair of her '06 offspring-hypomelanistic het anery and striped that I raised from babies hoping to produce some different looking hypo stripes, the female might be big enough to go in '08. And I have one more 2 year old female that might be able to breed and she is an amel het caramel stripe, I am thinking of putting her with the ghost stripe male just because she is poss het for lots and the pairing would test her for hypo and anery and him for amel... normal stripes het for coral sound alright. She is not quite 300 grams yet but may be ready come spring. So that's my breeding plans in a nutshell... yeah, lots of ghosts again!
Anybody else been thinking what to pair up in the spring ?

Well, lets see I have an adult amel. male and an adult Creamsicle male. An RO female and an amel female :shrugs:. I also have a hypo female (Medusa's daughter). Not much choice for 2008, but wait until 2009. :dancer:

Jen what about Zephyr?

Not much I can do with Zephyr until his daughters grow up, except produce a lot more poss het cinders. I hate to have him just sit there for a year, though.
BTW I sure hope you use that nice creamsicle in one of your breedings!

My snakes hatched this year. So no breeding plans for me in '08
Guess I'll just sit and watch the show (this thread) and wait 'til 2010
Looking forward to seeing your breedings plan, peeps.

Lavendar x het Lavendar
Lavendar x amel unk hets
Sunglow amel x okeetee unk hets

I played with the idea of breeding out my snow again but I think this may be her year off as well as my anery female. Not that they couldn't breed again this year... I just have any new and exciting things to breed them to yet. Just wait until 2010 though... then I'll have hypo pewters, phantoms, butters, caramels and ghosts... oh my!

well, will be only my second year breeding so here goes :)

Candycane X candycane = hopefully all candys but not sure of her hets so....
hypo snow X snow = snows
aztec char X aztec char = will be thier first time so...
ghost X candycane = hypos, miami and amels

thinking I might breed my anery to the snow to see what she is het for :) that is it so far... I think lol

Probably only breed my granite, Pearl, if she's over 400gs, because she took a long time recovering from her extended laying and then her double-clutch of slugs. If she is good to go, I'd like to get aneries het blood by pairing her with Norwood.
For my Christmas hypo Lola, I'm not sure if she was an 05 on maintenance or an early 06, so I'll decide in the spring whether to breed her or wait a year. She's 309g and over 3' already so I'm still undecided. If I do breed her it'll be with my RO, Slim

I don't have everything exactly figured out, as I've learned that sometimes plans need to be changed due to one reason or another. I do have a few pairs that I'm really hoping to breed in '08:
Normal het hypo A, Sunkissed and anery X Normal het hypo A, Sunkissed and anery
Opal X Amel Motley het lavender
Normal het lavender X Amel Motley het lavender
Caramel Motley het butter X Amber Motley het amel and anery
Ghost Motley het amel X Amber Motley het amel and anery
Butter X GoldDust
Charcoal het pewter and amel X Amel Banded Motley OR Sunkissed
Ghost het amel and motley X GoldDust

Other pairs will probably be the same as last year.

I can't wait til next season!
Here goes:

Steve Irwin (granite stripe het amel) x Sangria (fire het granite and stripe)

Horcrux x Havoc
Horcrux x Hatteras
(All 3 are classics het hypo, lavender, diffused "ugly bloodred", possibly het anery, amel and charcoal).

Here are mine so far; I'm sure there will be more:

Coral snow x ghost motley
Coral snow x ghost stripe
Hypo Lavender 66% het stripe x Lavender 66% het stripe and hypo
Amel het caramel blood x caramel het amel blood

I have a couple of females who are borderline ready to go; unless they start to pack it on, I'll probably just wait until next year to be on the safe side.

it'll be my first season breeding, I'm about ready to take them out of brumation ...

anery het charcoal mot x anery mot het charcoal amel
het anery mot, ph sunkissed, amel x het anery mot, ph sunkissed, amel

the first pair is proven, the second pair will be their first time

of course i have more & better plans for '09 since I will have a few more snakes of breeding size

Well as I've only got the 2, they are both great age & size, ones male and ones female.... I WONDER what my breeding plans are haha :shrugs:

PS Its in the signature :dancer:

I am too indecisive - I keep changing my mind! Only one I'm 100% on is mating Angus to Barzona, my Upper Keys pair, to hopefully produce hypos and cinders as well as some nice keys babies. Maybe some bloodreds, fires, and some charcoal x anery type crosses - and like everyone else and their dog in the UK next year, some lavenders with interesting project hets :)

None of my corns are old enough, thankfully, so I don't have that to worry about. Unless of course I find a pair of irresistable adults this weekend at Manassas, but that's unlikely.
Might have breeding plans with my wife, but we're still in discussions... :)
