hi i just got a new corn snake 2day,put him with my other thinking they would be fine and my original 1 went mad started flinging himself at the glass an trying to get away!!hes smaller than my new 1 but i was told this was ok?my new 1 doesnt seem interested in him at all!will he settle soon, ive had my original since he was a baby so hes not use to other snakes,is this why he acts like this?thanksx

It is NOT a good idea to cohabitate corn snakes together. Click on the "search" and do a search on the matter. You will find some interesting results.

No, it's not ok. Snakes are solitary and are meant to live alone, despite what others get away with.

i just looked,i dont understand why experts in reptile care would say they can live 2gether when they cant!!

the people i brought them off, they work with the rspca to help reptiles,so being easier and cheaper wouldnt really do 4 them would it?they have worked with reptiles for yrs and are specialist in reptile care!!i have been looking on other threads where people say as long as fed seperately they should be ok?

Your original snake is freaking out, is trying to hurt itself, and you're still forcing them to stay together?

...
NO NO NO

im not forcing them 2 stay 2gether,i have no where to put the bigger 1 and do not want to remove my smaller 1 from his home!he is not freaking out im watching them closely an he is sitting in his tree!dont go there trying to say im a bad pet keeper, wot do you suggest i do,let him go in the wild?its 1.30am i cant take him back!

I suggest you return the pet the next day if you can't take care of them.
You can't watch them 24/7 if your already having problems.

Nothing can really be done tonight unless you have a ventilated plastic tub to put him in.
But if you want to keep your second snake as soon as possible you need to go to whatever stores you have around you and pick up a plastic container (one of those storage ones for clothes) Drill some holes into it, and set it up as a second snake home.

Or you leave them together and risk the health and well being of both of your snakes.
Your choice.

having just been looking on a corn snake site it says you can keep them together, both the snakes have settled at the time being, iwill contact the experts tomorrow about this, but as you are not an expert an only have a few yrs experience in care for them i will wait an see wot they say,all my animals are well cared for an we do everything to make sure there needs are met so dont assume we do not care when asking for advice if you cant do it friendly dont do it at all

The Experts of the Cornsnake World ARE on this Forum.
The person who WROTE the book on corn snakes frequents this site, is that expert enough for you?
There are people on this site who have been working with corns longer than I've been alive, are THEY expert enough for you?

Everyone here just has the snakes best intrest at heart. And if you don't have room/money etc to house the second snake you need to do the right thing.
Please.

i do have the money and sense to do the right thing, you tell me where on here i can contact an expert who wrote the book on corns an ill email them,

I doubt you have the sense to do the right thing. If you did you would search this forum where you would find Serpenco Co owned by Rich Z, owner of this site and breeder of thousands of corn snakes this year alone. You would find Jeff Mohr, breeder of many reptiles. If you did a search you would find stickies at the beginning of forums written by many real experts Kathy Love, Don Sodaberg, Jeff Mohr, Rich Z.... just to name a few.
but hay k ok u do what u want and 4god sake listen,to your expert, am sure they r right.
When you grow up and can construct a proper sentence come back here and ask for help with your corns.

well for ur information i have emailed the expert which the other person recommended to me,i was asking advice on corns if you cannot handle some1 objecting to wot you say dont go here,im new to this site, was not aware that you could email experts!!im not a 13 yr old child who you can bully with sad little remarks as i saw on other threads 4 some1 of ur age you should know better now if all ur going to say is horrible sad little remarks then perhaps you should not be on here giving so called advice

Just curious.
How old *are* you?

And we are giving advice, you came here for it, we're giving it to you and you don't like it.
We're frustrated.

I think it was you doing the objecting to this site and referred to Jen as having a few years of experience compared to your experts.
I also think you are the one with the chip not us.

its not i dont like it or not glad for it,wot i dont like is abuse of people who do not know me,im new to this sort of thing an was not aware you can speak to experts on here!!when i realised you could i did!!there is nothing i can do wi them 2night its 2.30am over here but im awaitin reply of the expert an then i will either return, separate or keep which she says is best!!i can only hope she does b4 something bad happens!!it is not my fault i was told false info an that i cant fix things straight away,if i could i would!!im 25 by the way

i was not objecting to this site, like i said im new,i do not know who jen is and i do not have any sort of chip i didnt make it personnal!!the people you know arent the only experts
