  • lol its ok. I have 2 different pairs of glasses. I can see how it would be mistaken for that to. When she was younger she always had to "catch" her food then bring it over to me and show me what she got.
Thank you for the complement on my avatar :) I love taking pictures and I tried black and white with a few of my other snakes and they just didn't have the contrast to make a good one. All of them are beautiful, Zafrina (jungle corn in my avatar) is just so unique. The pic is also my desktop background.
I think you might have me confused with someone else. My avatar is a snake showing me the pinky mouse she "caught".
I did mail it Media, that usually only takes a day or two more than First Class. But it could be taking longer. Yeah, if you can let me know when it arrives or if hasn't arrived in a week or so. I belong to a online book exchange and have mailed out around 100 books, about half of them Media and only had one get mangled but delivered. However, there is a first time for everything! Enjoy your vacation!
Karoni, did the book get there yet? I always worry about stuff I've mailed going awry! As much as the non-living mailed items stress me, I can tell I'll have a major problem if I ever need to ship any of my reptile kids anywhere!
Yes, yes I do. I have always owned, rescued, fostered, and rehomed parrots too but I haven't owned one in the last two years and probably wont while I'm living in the new house, no space for one, but I will again some day.
Yes I do, in fact the morning after Pat left our female cat had three beautiful babies. Two black and a siamese. I'm keeping the Siamese. The female belongs to my oldest daughter and will be living with her. I will still have two dogs, two cats (soon three), 8 corns, and my youngest daughters leo gecko.
My life has been a complete wreck the last three weeks. Three weeks ago my boyfriend of two years told me he wasn't happy and was moving out. The night before, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend found a house and will be moving in April 1st. So, not only was I left broken hearted but also in need of finding someplace else to live. We were all living together in a 5 bedroom house. I cannot afford the bills with just my income. So I hurried up and found a two bedroom house for my youngest daughter and myself. And my youngest daughter is turning 18 this week. It's like the flood gates opened. LOL

I cannot wait to get her. I plan on adding some cresties too. I have a bloodred baby corn from Nanci that will be coming after the move is finished too. We've been waiting for good weather for her to ship him too.
No, the weather has not permitted shipping yet. We thought it was going to work out this week but although it's warm here it isn't on her end. I'm in the process of moving, will be fully moved next Sunday, so she is going to wait and ship after I move on the 26th.
KAREN!!!! How sweet, precious and adorable is THAT?! Now I know the story, so everytime I look at her, I know she's looking at her Momma! AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Just got that book in the mail, so you should be getting it fairly soon. Happy reading! ;~)
That would be fine, if you decide you do want this one, you don't need to give me anything for it. It won't cost much to send.
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
Actually, I just skimmed thru the book and the only thing I saw was the nutrition part that was outdated, the rest seemed to pretty much cover it well. Which book does your library have? I've got the one by Adam Black. If you want, you can PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
I think they had changed the formula a few months before I got my first crested and then they changed it again, maybe 6 months or so ago, don't really remember when. I've heard some say their geckos didn't like the change and were hard to get switched over, but mine didn't really have a problem.
My male refuses to eat anything but the original flavor, he doesn't care which formula, and the female Maui doesn't like the original flavor, though she will eat more of the new formula original flavored CGD. The newest formula seems to be the best so far, mine all put on a growth spurt after switching to it.
They just introduced other flavors in a one part mix, I'm exited to try those, I've got two flavors of the old two part CGD that have to be mixed together for Maui, it will be so nice not to have to mess with mixing it!
When I get a sec, I'll go thru the book I have and see what in there is wrong and let you know. It does have some useful info in it, just have parse through it.
Will probably not be until Monday, though. I'm going to Montana with my boyfriend today and staying with his mother until Sunday. It's the first time I'll be meeting her, scary!
Yeah, I'd really like to get the Rhac bible too, but it is a bit hard to pay that much. Sure I'll buy it someday though. If you get a book on them, double check whatever it says on husbandry with a Rhac forum. The book I have is like seven years old and it has a few things in there that are outdated and is now believed to be bad or sub-optimal for them.
    Good luck! ;~)
You're welcome! Was it in an older post? I don't remember posting that site recently.
So you are really thinking about getting one? You'll have to keep me updated on that, they are great little critters! Caution, though, I find them even more addictive than corn snakes!
