  • Dont get me started on fish! I used to have fish for many years. Right now we have a small salt water tank on the kitchen table! It's Ashley's, but I want to add things and more stuff...LOL
Hey James...sorry about cutting the call short. It's extremely difficult to talk here in the evenings. Apparently, I'm not permitted to have fun OR friends. My life sux. :p
(((Jimmy))) Sometimes walking away for a bit is good for the soul. You guys know where I am if you need to talk. xo
Hey Jim, Sorry I missed your question on MBK. My little passed away. I only had him 17 days. I though he looked awfully small for and 08 when he came to me.
But I just though well I'll just fatten him up and he'll be fine. I am hoping to pick up another one this spring. Thanks for asking about him too. Much appreciated.
actually no we dont have any. the herp society has talked about trying to get one started recently but no we dont have anything.
Hey Trick! I noticed that you are up in the Twin Cities. I am thinking about expanding my collection, and its slim pickings around here. Do you know of any Minnesota shows this spring/summer? I'll also try to keep a close eye on any you might have. :) Cheers! (btw, I'm around Mason City in Iowa)
Hi Trick! You did respond, thank you! We are having crazy warm weather for the last 2 weeks so I let her go in an open space right by my house. It has lots of brush cover, water and room to roam! I thought she would be happier their then in a 10 gallon tank! Not to mention she was a MAJOR musker! It was hard to let her go, but I think I did the right thing for her!
Hi Trick! I hope it is ok that I contact you. Nanci told me you have or had garter snakes. I caught one in mu sister in laws basement last night and I am torn between setting him free and keeping her. She seems amazingly sweet...hasn't opened her mouth once to try and bite. She is a muster for sure, but after handeling her for a few she seems to calm down. Anyway, I have her in a 10 gallon viv with Aspen for bedding. She has a water bowl, a hide and a climbing log. She is 76 grams. I have purchased some earth worms for her to eat. My questions are:

    1. How big so they get (on average)?
    2. Can she live happily in a 10 gallon viv?
    3. How often do they eat?
    4. Do they quite musking so much after they get comfortable?

Thanks for any help on this subject. If you feel in your more knowledgable opinion that I let her go come spring I will do it.....if you feel it is best for me to keep her I will do that too! I am in Colorado so I won't let her go at least until mid spring when the nights are a warmer!

    Thanks in advance,
    Robin
