WHAT is this???

ForkedTung

Serpent Mound Monk
This is turning into an interesting clutch.
The dam is a Classic het Blood, Amel and Charcoal and was bred to one of her sons "Taco" a blood from 08'. (Taco's sire was a Blood no known hets and some of the hatchlings had pied-sided.)
Anyway this year for the second clutch from Hotsauce, after breeding her with Taco, I had a Fire pip, really pleased about that as there were only 11 eggs (one is from my BLOWOUT egg thread...that one has yet to hatch) and now I have what looks to be a Hypo Blood as well. The only way this could have been produced is if Hotsauce was unknown het Hypo and also passed this to her son making him het hypo as well. ( Brent sold me Hotsauce so he is checking his records)
I may be jumping the gun ( before first shed), but does that one look like a Hypo to anyone else?
She's never produced a normal bloodred that red before, it is much more obvious in person, it really stands out.

Looks like it could be a hypo blood to me! Congrats!

Oh, and that ugly pink thing in the corner... yeah... you need to send it to me. :D

That is so awesome, Kyle! It definitely looks like a Hypo Blood to me. Congrats on the clutch! :) (And thanks again for the snakes. I couldn't be happier!)

What no opinion Danny? Please it's highly valued, or you just don't want to hurt my feelings by saying it looks like a purdy normal?

I can take it...hit me.

I just meant I was looking forward to seeing progress pictures. I've never seen hypo blood hatchlings in person to form an educated opinion and without that, it's just an opinion......and you know what they say about opinions, don't ya Kyle? :grin01:

Nice! He certainly does look different from the others. I get caught every time I try to guess morphs... so I'll just leave it as "I hope it is what you want him to be!" LOL.

Thanks all
I just got done peeking in on them and guess what?

There are now three fire's in there...:devil01::devil01::devil01:

Can't believe it, I was happy with one and now three, the odds were just under 1/10 for one, out of 11 and they all hatched, the BLOWOUT was the last fire! plus the possibility that one is a Hypo fire.

UPDATE:

This guy really does look like a Hypo, he's photographed with one of my holdback/problem feeder normal Bloods. I'm going to PM Brent and find out if the Dam was PH Hypo.

Well, checking my records, the mother of the snake you got from me is possible het Hypo. She was purchased directly from Kathy Love. She is now in Carol's possession. I never had the opportunity to test her myself, and can't recall if I put the possible het Hypo on her file based on info I got from Kathy, or info I got from you when you originally posted this thread. Shoot a PM Carol's way and she if she bred that Bloodred girl to anything to confirm Hypo.

On another note, here's a Normal, Blood, Hypo Blood and Blood possible het Hypo from my own collection . . . Tell me which is which?? ;) (No fair cheating either.)

Thanks for the reply Brent.

#1) Blood
#2) Blood
#3) Hypo Blood
#4) B het Hypo
#5) Blood
#6) same as #4
#7) Blood

Could 5 and or 7 be normals? How can that be with any of the head patterns on all of them?
That was kinda tough, probably all wrong.

What do you think my lil guy is?

In the first picture he looks distinctly different from his clutchmates. Not so much in the second picture. Based on the first picture I'd take the chance and call him a Hypo Blood, but he's not near as bright as the ones I've hatched out. Based on my clutches where I was expecting Bloods and Hypo Bloods, there was a distinct difference between hatchlings. Problem is, the poss het Hypo's could easily pass for Hypo Bloods and are lighter than the pic of yours! ;)

Yeah, The second picture was taken in my bathroom in yellow light. In real time? he stands out much more, but especially his grays are very light and his reds are more orangey, if that's a word. I'll try to get some decent pics in natural light.

Are you waiting for more peeps to chime in before you tell us what those morphs are?
