Number One! 2010 ? Granite ?

Nanci

Alien Lover
Well, I couldn't sleep past 0430 and since none of the other pippies had emerged overnight, I took a few quick pics of the first one. I was hoping for one of the little red-noses to come out for comparison, but I _think_ Number one might be a granite.

Here she is (I'm tired of calling her "it" and they are all female till they pop male, right?) in her little furniture slider hide.

But that's not surprising, her parents are very docile, sweet snakes.

And a picture of her little Hatchie House. I don't know what to put in there. I can't wait till she can have substrate! But she likes her cuddly gray hide.

Thanks for looking!!

:D I can tell you are very proud of this lil one! You are keeping, right? Have you thought of a name yet or is it too early to invest feelings for the cute hatchling?

Beautiful granite! I thought from the first pics I couldn't see any red, so that makes her/him a homo diffused anery!

I guess I was a little reluctant to call Number One a granite, since we were really, really hoping that katie's hunch about Buzztail would prove correct, and how easy could it be that the first hatchling is a granite!

You know Nanci, when I went to bed last night something was bugging me....
I have hatched out granites once, and back then it did not occur to me what I had until an avalanche hatched out from that clutch!
Anyway, I do think that your Number 1 is a granite. I am pretty sure he/she is. And I hope it's a girl for you to keep too!!

From those pics I am definately leaning towards granite now too. What a way to start, eh Nanci?

Can't wait to see the rest of them!

Sure looks like my granite boy, who I bought as a little worm... color looks the same, and they both have that perfect skull pattern. Congrats, "she" is beautiful!! :)

I like the head marking; it looks like a skull. And that little bar behind the eye is adorable. Nice motley pattern on her first front third. Almost looks like white dots painted on. I'm partial to normals but that is really a beautiful snake. I want another one now :(

Number One has been joined by seven siblings: four more granites and three bloodreds. There are two pipped eggs and one unpipped egg left to hatch!
