Today I got a new pet! Not a snake but he is just as cute :p His name is Basil Stag Hare, Basil for short, and he is named after the character from Redwall by Brian Jacques. Here are pictures!

By the way, I love his name - when I was in middle school, I was OBSESSED with Brian Jacques. Obsessed. In fact, Marlfox was and is my favorite.

I haven't read any more Redwall books in a while but I always knew if I got a rabbit I would name it after one of the hares from the series and Basil has always been my favorite :p

Ok so thats what kind he is! I knew he was a dwarf rabbit but the pet store didn't say the specific type.....
 
As soon as I read the name I squeed, Redwall was a huge part of my childhood! I should reread some soon...
Anyway, totally cutest bunny I've ever seen, congrats!!
 
Aw! Baby bunny feets! How cute! I wish my Bacardi was still a baby, but he's a grump now, with big feet.
 
The funny part is he lives in an apartment with 9 other snakes, and one of my friends has a 10 foot albino Burmese python named Sunny that would just LOVE to meet him... but sorry, Sunny, this one is not food. :p
 
I have some updates on my baby! He has grown and matured, and he is going to be a daddy someday soon!!!
