I had a lid with a book on top. I was goin to buy a new lid this weekend :twohammerPssdffJay said::headbang: :headbang: :headbang: DOH!!
How did he escape?? Was the lid on securely and do you have clips? I use 4, one in each corner just in case.
As for where he might go, I have no experience or ideas. Sorry.
But if you search the forum, you will find methods to catching him. Something like putting a Pinky in a bottle? Im not sure...
Good luck catching him!
Yea, i should've done more research, but I was leavin the college the day after i ended up buying him. I really wanted him when i first saw him and had most of the things I needed from my tarantula's tank. I was wrong in choosing the proper heating though. Which i corrected within 2 days because i bought the UTH..Roy Munson said:Well, the poor thing will probably end up dying of exposure, or it'll be killed by someone who doesn't like snakes. Sorry to sound pessimistic, or preachy, but it sounds like you didn't do much research before purchasing the poor snake anyway. Had you done so, you would have known that escape prevention is one of the top concerns when dealing with corns. I bet you wish you had bought a secure lid BEFORE bringing home the snake. Oh well, live and learn (I hope).

Then I was supposed to buy a very secure lid this weekend.
i made a new thread.
i kno its my fault. i set up 3 pinkies like i mentioned in my other thread. hopefully he goes to one of the spots.Roy Munson said:Your excuses may seem reasonable to you, but who's paying the price? The poor snake, of course. You'll go to bed warm and well-fed tonight. Escapes are a pet peeve of mine, not that anyone gives a @%^&. I get sad thinking of all the doomed, or already-dead escapees.
nycflip22 said:OMG I FOUND HIM :crazy02:
He was crawling underneath my door and to second pinky i set up in the quad lounge! I got a pic of it. I can't believe i found him at like 4:30AM! I didnt think he was still in my room and almost lost hope.
After I put him back in the viv, he drank some water
Now he's active but it looks like hes looking really hard to try to escape. He's burrowing, then climbing and trying to escape from the lid, etc. He's searching everywhere! He's been doing that for 30+mins. and he wont stay still
