omg. he escaped around the dorm somewhere. 0_0 i have to find him. do they wander around that much!? or should he be around the room?

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: DOH!!

How did he escape?? Was the lid on securely and do you have clips? I use 4, one in each corner just in case.

As for where he might go, I have no experience or ideas. Sorry.

But if you search the forum, you will find methods to catching him. Something like putting a Pinky in a bottle? Im not sure...

Good luck catching him!

I had a lid with a book on top. I was goin to buy a new lid this weekend :twohammer

I searched my dorm room suite and my friend's dorm room since it's conjoint. I'm almost done searching most of my room. OMG, if it crawed out of the the quad (4 person dorm) :uhoh:
Thanks i'll search

Well, the poor thing will probably end up dying of exposure, or it'll be killed by someone who doesn't like snakes. Sorry to sound pessimistic, or preachy, but it sounds like you didn't do much research before purchasing the poor snake anyway. Had you done so, you would have known that escape prevention is one of the top concerns when dealing with corns. I bet you wish you had bought a secure lid BEFORE bringing home the snake. Oh well, live and learn (I hope). :(

Yea, i should've done more research, but I was leavin the college the day after i ended up buying him. I really wanted him when i first saw him and had most of the things I needed from my tarantula's tank. I was wrong in choosing the proper heating though. Which i corrected within 2 days because i bought the UTH..
Then I was supposed to buy a very secure lid this weekend.

i made a new thread.

Your excuses may seem reasonable to you, but who's paying the price? The poor snake, of course. You'll go to bed warm and well-fed tonight. Escapes are a pet peeve of mine, not that anyone gives a @%^&. I get sad thinking of all the doomed, or already-dead escapees. :(

OMG I FOUND HIM :crazy02:
He was crawling underneath my door and to second pinky i set up in the quad lounge! I got a pic of it. I can't believe i found him at like 4:30AM! I didnt think he was still in my room and almost lost hope.
After I put him back in the viv, he drank some water :)
Now he's active but it looks like hes looking really hard to try to escape. He's burrowing, then climbing and trying to escape from the lid, etc. He's searching everywhere! He's been doing that for 30+mins. and he wont stay still :(

Is he trying to escape again? or is he just wandering around? He's constantly poking his head at the sides of the lid, goin down and finding a spot to escape from the bottom, then back up top, then bottom, etc..

I'd say he is trying to escape again! You'd better secure his lid to make certain he can't get out! You need to get a secure setup immediately!

Congratulations on finding him!
