Hi!!
This is my little Extreme Okeetee from SMR. He looks different (brighter) to my other little Okeetees. It will be exciting to see his progression!

I have to admit that I don't understand why they are called "extreme" okeetees. They don't have extreme borders, and their colors don't seem particularly extreme unlike the animal in your banner, stefan. Maybe the colors will mature closer to the one in your banner? He's a beautiful snake either way.

:D good question...This little one is from South Mountain Reptiles and Don is calling them Extreme Okeetees. This one hasn't extreme borders and it would be also ok for me if its just called Okeetee ==> ...For me its just a lovely snake.

He's developing brilliantly. It's interesting how SMR's start off a silvery buckskin, then change into gorgeous shades of orange. My Kidani is still half & half. Her orange is starting to take over though.

My understanding of the "Extreme" name, is that it's a name that separates an "Abbott" looking Okeetee from an Okeetee BRED by Lee Abbott.

Thanks ;) You have some nice pictures of Kidani on iherp!!
You're welcome bro. Too bad we didn't live in the same country, we could breed our extremes. :D

I found some good information on Extreme Okeetee phase from KJUN. As far as I know, KJ Lodrigue, Don Soderberg, & Graham Criglow are the breeders using the term "Extreme". They could explain it better than I can, but here's the info from KJUN's website: http://www.kjunsnakehaven.com/index1.htm

You are right that is the only difference, extreme are breed by the SMR, KJ and Graham and although we use abbotts for wide banded OK's it should be limited to only ones bred by Lee Abbott or like Love's line of Okeetees.
Nice one
John
